What type of church is Christ Church?
Christ Church is a non-denominational, evangelical church, embracing a charismatic style of worship. Our purpose is to proclaim the gospel Jesus Christ in our community and throughout the world using every medium of communication capable to man. We believe the Bible to be the inerrant word of God, which is the final authority of faith and practice to genuine Christians.
When did Christ Church begin?
Christ Church began in 1986 with six adult believers who committed themselves to healing broken lives through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Now thousands of people gather each week at our corporate services to worship and to experience God's love through Bible-based instruction and by building godly relationships.
Will I feel comfortable attending Christ Church?
Absolutely! Christ Church comprises people from diverse racial, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds representing approximately 40 different nations. Our messages address issues relevant to families, singles, the young, and those that are young at heart. Our worship style is both progressive and reverential. We say that if you attend Christ Church for more than 30 days, you'll experience passionate worship in music styles ranging from Bach to Boogie.
What is the objective of Christ Church?
Our objective "what we call our vision" can be capsulated by one word, IMPACT
The I in IMPACT is for Integrate: We consistently work to present a church that is racially, culturally, and ethnically integrated.
The M in IMPACT is for Music: Our worship will be celebrative, prophetic, and rich in the participation of the performing arts.
The P in IMPACT is for Prepare: We strive to prepare the next generation to reach its potential for Jesus Christ through innovative methods of instruction.
The A in IMPACT is for Academic: Educational advancement is an ongoing pursuit for members of Christ Church. We plan to expand our academy for children as well as our school for performing arts and to develop a school of ministry. We intentionally recognize students at all levels that excel in academic excellence.
The C in IMPACT is for Community: We believe that serving the needs of our community is part of our Christian responsibility. We have declared "war" against the plagues of chemical abuse, teen pregnancy, family crisis, and illiteracy.
The T in IMPACT is for Train: Christ Church strives to ensure that its membership is biblically literate and skilled in implementing the word of God. We view ourselves as developers of leaders.
